TOURNAMENT INFO!
NOTE:We can NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH...you must make sure that you do not have problems with your computer or game prior to your start in the tournament. If you have issues when you are up to play you will only have a couple of minutes to resolve them otherwise your team will be required to play on without you or your team will be disqualified. The event can not be held up by system issues.
Team Fortress 2 - PC - SPONSORED BY ANTEC
NOTE: We are currently testing this configuration, rules are subject to change if we deem them to be inapropriate.
Gametype: Stopwatch – 6v6
Config: Matchmod - Stopwatch
1st Place Prize: Antec DF-35 Dark Fleet Case to each member of the winning team
VAC: ON
ITEMS ALLOWED: All unlocked/achieved weapons are allowed
Class Limit: 2 per class
RULES:
Winners will be those with the most forward progress in the least amount of time. Rounds will be played as standard attack/defend. Team A will attack and Team B will defend. Once Team A attacks their time is the time to beat by Team B and the game will switch sides and Team B will attack while Team A defends. If Team B captures all points (or the same number of points as Team A) in less time then they are awarded the score (1 point) for that round. If team B is not able to make as much forward progress as Team A in the time provided, Team A is awarded the score (1 point). Once each team has attacked and defended once each the round is over.
After round 1 is over the server will begin halftime at which point players will once again indicate a ready status for round 2 to begin. Round 2 will be played identically to round 1. The team to score 2 points will be the winner of the match. If after 2 rounds the score is tied 1-1 then an overtime round will automatically be initated and will be played identically to the first two rounds. The winner of the overtime round will be the match winner.

MSU Football:
Due to the football schedule this year and many consecutive home games, we were forced to schedule this event on a home football game weekend. But worry not, this will cause only a minor parking inconvenience. We have secured 3 possible parking lots that are not too far away from the lan site. As the event draws near and we solidify details we will post up all of the info. We will be playing the game in the SLP Console Cafe so come and enjoy that with us as well.
Tournaments:
Full tournament information will be released in the coming weeks, but here is what we are planning for sure a COD4, TF2, classic console, UT2004 and possibly others that are yet undecided. Stay tuned for more info in the next week or so.
Sponsors:
Sponsorship inquiries are in the works, we are hoping for a good turnout! Keep an eye on our facebook page for sponsorship announcements!
Raffle:
Our new raffle system worked GREAT last time for everyone, so we are going to do it again! Each paid attendee will receive one raffle ticket in the drawing for FREE. Tournament winners will likely receive a number of additional tickets FREE, and additional raffle tickets will be up for purchase in limited numbers and we will include the cash prize into the main raffle. So if you have purchased 50/50 tickets in the past this is great for you because it gives you a better chance at ALL the prizes when you purchase additional tickets! We will post pricing details and more info on this as the event nears, it will be a blast and rewarding too! |
